preparation

hey all.. coming down to the final renders of my Aeries peice... he's almost done.. finally.. after a month of experimentation and persistance.. i've taken the prelims out of my gallery in order to create a lil tension.. i'm excited to show everybody... i think this will be the big one...

I am currently a 3D modeler for a small game developer out in brisk state of Wisconsin, where i sit amidst many great minds and play, make, discuss, and conceptualize the craft of game development. on the other side of this, i continually strive to perfect my ever so imperfect passion for visual art.. usually exploiting the tools of non tangible digital work, but every once in a while, i will travel back to a time when humans still used mark making sticks, horsehair brushes and color pigments on this substance made from the pulp trees they call paper..

i love constructive crit, and i love giving it back.. so don't be a stranger..

really excellent render :).. charcoal is not one of my favorite mediums... or i can tell you it doesn't like me.. graphite is a bit easier.. but i'm left handed so i have to worry bout smudges all the time.. but yeah.. great realism.. fun pose.. very iconic, i think.. like one could put up a row of drawings and one could pick your work out in a second.. fun stuff :)

yeah, that smudge-problem really is bad, I have that, too, when I draw thos stripes... one drawn stripe, I have to erase a lot of smudge... but I manage

haha you're very welcome. i enjoy your emoticons btw.. :) anyways, i really like your use of reds.. i think mainly because you're in those photos.. i'm no photographer, but you have a great eye for composition, use of saturated colors, and contrast.. "dame en rouge" and "place where you live" i think are my favs out of everything you have so far.. it was a little hard to decide because you have so many good ones in there.. keep'm comin :)
